1. What types of events can I rent a claw machine for?
ThrillTek claw machines are a hit at a wide range of events including birthday parties, weddings, graduation celebrations, corporate brand activations, trade shows, school functions, festivals, charity fundraisers, mall pop-ups, and retail promotions. Our machines are designed to be fun, eye-catching, and suitable for both kids and adults.
2. How far in advance should I book a rental?
We recommend booking your rental at least 2–4 weeks in advance to ensure machine availability and to allow time for any customization or prize selection. Last-minute bookings may be available but are subject to limited inventory and additional fees.
3. Do you offer rentals for both private and corporate events?
Yes! ThrillTek provides claw machine rentals for private events like birthdays and family gatherings, as well as professional environments including corporate parties, product launches, customer appreciation days, and trade shows. We tailor each rental to match the vibe of your event.
4. Is there a minimum or maximum rental period?
The minimum rental period is 4 hours. There is no strict maximum—we offer flexible rental durations from single-day events to multi-week activations and long-term placements. Custom quotes are available for extended rentals.
5. What sizes or models of claw machines are available for rent?
We offer a variety of full-size and compact machines to fit different spaces and themes. Machines come with LED lighting, clear viewing panels, and professional-grade controls. Availability may vary depending on location and date.
6. Can I rent more than one machine at a time?
Absolutely. Many clients rent multiple machines for larger events, game stations, or to separate prize themes (e.g., candy vs. plush toys). Volume discounts may be available.
7. What’s included with a standard rental package?
Our standard package includes the claw machine, basic prize chute setup, delivery, professional setup, and post-event pickup. Prizes, customization, or staffing are considered add-ons and can be included upon request.
Pricing & Deposits
8. How much does it cost to rent a claw machine?
Pricing is quote-based only. To receive an accurate rental cost tailored to your event, please submit a "Request a Quote" form. Our team will review your request and respond with a detailed proposal.
9. Is there a deposit required to book a rental?
Yes, a 25% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to reserve your rental slot. This secures your date and allows us to begin preparations.
10. Is the deposit refundable?
The deposit is non-refundable. However, if you notify us at least 72 hours prior to your event, you may apply the deposit to a future booking within 6 months.
11. What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards,cash, cashapp, zelle, venmo, PayPal, Bank transfers, and business checks. Full payment is required before the event date and check must clear before event date.
12. Are there any additional costs (delivery, customization, etc.)?
Yes. Custom branding, premium toy prizes, long-distance delivery (outside our standard service area), and rush orders may incur additional fees. All extra charges will be detailed clearly in your quote.
13. Can I extend my rental period? How is that charged?
If the machine is not booked for another event, rental extensions are available. Extensions are billed at a daily rate, and we recommend notifying us as early as possible.
14. Do you offer discounts for multi-day or bulk rentals?
Yes. Discounts are available for multi-day rentals, multiple machines, or recurring event partners. Let us know your event details and we’ll provide a custom rate.
Delivery Radius
15. Do you deliver to my location?
We are based in Cleveland, Ohio and deliver throughout Northeast Ohio and surrounding areas. If you're located outside our core service area, we may still be able to accommodate with a mileage surcharge.
16. Is delivery and pickup included in the price?
Local delivery and pickup are included within our standard range. Long-distance travel, stairs, or special access requirements may involve additional costs.
17. How much space is needed for the machine?
You’ll need a minimum of 3’ x 3’ of floor space and a standard power outlet (110V). We recommend additional clearance for safe play and guest interaction.
18. Do you set up and test the machine at the venue?
Yes. Our delivery team handles full setup and tests the machine on-site to ensure it’s ready to go. We also provide basic instructions for operation.
19. What are your delivery hours?
We cater to your event needs and aim to align with your event schedule.
20. Can I pick up the machine myself?
No. Due to the size, weight, and technical setup of our machines, self-pickup is not allowed. Only trained staff may transport and install units.
Setup Process
21. Can I customize the machine for my brand or event theme?
Yes! We offer logo wraps, custom graphics, and themed lighting to fully match your brand or event. Additional lead time and design files are required.
22. Do you provide toys or prizes, or do I supply my own?
We offer rental packages with and without prizes. You can supply your own prizes if they meet our size and weight guidelines.
23. What type of prizes can fit in the claw machines?
Prizes must typically be under 4"-5" in width and weigh less than 0.5 lb. Popular choices include plush toys, candy, gift cards in capsules, small electronics, and party favors.
24. Are there options for age-appropriate prizes (e.g., kids vs. adults)?
Yes. We offer curated prize bundles tailored to different age groups: ages 3–7, 8–12, teens, and adults. Let us know the audience and we'll provide fitting options.
25. Can I request specific prize types or mix them?
Absolutely. If you have a theme or product preference, we can build a custom prize mix, pending availability. You can also request branded items or custom inserts.
Power Requirements
26. What happens if the machine stops working during the event?
All machines are tested prior to delivery. In the rare event of an issue, call our support number. We provide phone/text troubleshooting and can dispatch a technician if needed.
27. Is someone on-site during the event to assist?
Standard rentals do not include on-site staff. Event staffing can be added for an additional fee with advance notice.
28. What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations made 72+ hours before the event may transfer the deposit to a new date within 6 months. Cancellations under 72 hours forfeit the deposit, and a restocking or administrative fee may apply depending on the situation.
29. Do I need to sign a rental agreement or liability waiver?
Yes. All rentals require a signed agreement that outlines your responsibilities, equipment condition, usage rules, and liability terms.
30. What if the machine is damaged during my rental?
You are responsible for any physical damage caused by misuse or neglect during your rental. Charges for repairs or replacement will be billed after inspection.
